You will shape the world you will live in.
When you discover Lynnhaven School, you witness a school where students are empowered to learn more - to ask questions - to pursue successes. A place where students celebrate each other's achievements. Classrooms, hallways, and outdoor spaces filled to the brim with intellectual curiosity, laughter, and an inherent trust to do the good work that comes with being a Lynnhaven student. As Richmond’s only progressive education high school, I am glad that you are here and I look forward to getting to know you during the admissions process.

Lynnhaven Admission Process
Plan Your Visit!
We want to meet you! Take a moment to plan your visit with us by inquiring and setting up a tour, or attending one of our scheduled events.
Complete Your Application
Once you have gotten your initial questions answered, feel free to apply at any time - our application can be found HERE. You will be asked to Create an Account to access the application. There will be a checklist of needed items to complete during the application process including a records release form and recommendations. These items must be complete in order for us to get a full academic picture of your child.
Attend Your Shadow Day Experience
As a part of the application and admission process you will be asked to complete a Shadow Day experience. During the Shadow Day, your student will attend classes, meet the faculty, and will interview with the Director of Admission. Shadowing allows us to see how your student fits with the Lynnhaven community and is required prior to an admissions decision being rendered.
Receive Your Admissions Decision
Admissions decisions will be communicated at the end of our regular admissions window. We do admit and enroll students on a rolling basis, throughout the school year as space permits. No decision will be made until ALL application materials are received and processed with the admissions office.
Become a Lynx!
Parents of accepted students will receive a decision letter via email from the Director of Admissions and an enrollment contract via LynxNet. Contracts should be completed and the enrollment fee paid to reserve your student’s place for the current or upcoming school year.
2023-2024 Important Dates
Applicants interested in priority admission for the 2023-2024 school year should submit their application by December 15, 2022. Priority admission decisions will be rendered on December 22, 2022.
