Key Responsibilities:
- Teach pre-planned STEM lessons aligned with Lynnhaven School’s curriculum, with opportunities to infuse personal expertise and creativity into instruction.
- Facilitate hands-on, project-based learning experiences in small, interactive class settings.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Maintain a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding class activities and student performance.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to align curriculum and enhance the learning experience.
- Ensure compliance with all school policies and safety standards in the classroom and laboratory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field (required); teaching certification preferred.
- Previous experience teaching or working with high school students in a STEM setting.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for STEM education and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
- Familiarity with project-based learning and differentiated instruction (preferred).

Summer Camp Coordinator
Position: Summer Camp Coordinator (7-week position)
Location: Lynnhaven School
Dates: May 27 - July 11, 2025
Compensation: $17/hr
Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

The Summer Camp Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the camp’s daily operations, including planning, organizing, and implementing activities, managing staff, ensuring safety, and fostering a fun, positive environment for children. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to think on your feet, and a passion for creating an unforgettable summer camp experience.

This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to think on your feet, and a passion for creating an unforgettable summer camp experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee all camp activities and events aligned with weekly themes.
- Supervise and support camp staff, ensuring proper training, guidance, and collaboration.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers, maintaining a positive and inclusive environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
- Manage daily schedules, making sure all activities run smoothly and on time.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that all resources and materials are available for camp activities.
- Set up and break down camp activities, ensuring that spaces are prepared and cleaned.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and handle any emergencies or issues that arise during camp hours.
- Promote camp activities and foster a fun, engaging atmosphere for campers and staff.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations, including monitoring cleanliness, snack times, and hydration.
- Previous experience working with children (ages 5-10) in a camp, education, or recreational setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of camp staff.
- Energetic, creative, and adaptable to changing environments.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Must be available for the full camp season from May 27 - July 11, 2025.
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred, but not required).
