Daniela Fenwrick became Lynnhaven's new Head of School July 2026, bringing nearly 30 years of experience working with children, families, educators, and nonprofit organizations. But perhaps more important than the years behind her is the philosophy she brings to the work: young people thrive when they know they matter and when the adults around them are willing to build genuine relationships with them.


Leading School, Differently


Daniela believes adolescence isn't simply something to "get through." It is an extraordinary stage of becoming, and schools have both an opportunity and a responsibility to help young people discover who they are, what they are capable of, and how they want to contribute to the world around them.

That philosophy is a natural fit for Lynnhaven.


Her leadership is grounded in relationships, student voice, curiosity, accountability, and the belief that students deserve both the freedom to be themselves and the responsibility to grow. She believes deeply in listening before assuming, talking with students rather than about them, and creating a school where high expectations and strong relationships exist side by side.


Daniela also sees education as a partnership. Students, families, educators, and the broader community all have something meaningful to contribute, and some of the most powerful learning happens when we open the doors of school and invite the real world in.

Building What's Next

Since stepping into the Head of School role, Daniela has focused on strengthening the people, programs, traditions, and relationships that make Lynnhaven distinctive, while also asking an important question:

What else is possible?
That question is helping shape Lynnhaven's next chapter, from expanding opportunities for student leadership and experiential learning to strengthening family engagement, community partnerships, and the ways students connect their learning to life beyond the classroom.
Daniela's goal is simple, even if the work behind it isn't: to build a school where students feel known, challenged, connected, and empowered to take ownership of their experience.
Because at Lynnhaven, we're not interested in doing school simply because that's the way it's always been done.
