A New Era at

Lynnhaven School

Beginning Fall 2026, Lynnhaven School will launch Lynx Athletics through a phased expansion of sports. Our goal is simple: build a mission-aligned program that strengthens student growth, school culture, and community pride.

Athletics at Lynnhaven is part of our commitment to developing the whole student — academically, socially, emotionally, and physically.

Competition builds habits that matter beyond sports: discipline, resilience, teamwork, leadership, and confidence. Lynx Athletics supports student wellness and reinforces the skills students need to thrive in school and life.

Our Aim

To develop student-athletes who compete with integrity, lead with humility, and represent Lynnhaven with pride.

Facilities

Cross Country and Soccer will utilize Lynnhaven’s campus grounds and approved off-campus courses. Basketball and Indoor/Outdoor Track will use the facilities at East End Henrico Recreation Center.

Lynnhaven plans to compete independently within VISAA in divisions aligned with our enrollment and program development.

The Lynx Standard

Student-athletes are expected to meet academic eligibility standards, maintain strong attendance, demonstrate respectful conduct, and compete with sportsmanship. Athletes and families will sign a participation and conduct agreement each season.

Leadership

Lynx Athletics is supported by trustees with NCAA Division I Athletics experience to guide responsible program development and competitive integrity.
