Lynnhaven Admission Process
- Intro Phone-call (Optional) - Speaking with our Dean of Enrollment & Innovation is a great opportunity for you to get to know us better, ask any questions you may have, and get a feel for our community.
- Schedule an In-Person Tour (Required) - During this 30-minute tour of the campus, you will meet 1:1 with our Head of School so that we can learn more about your student and discuss how Lynnhaven's program can support your student’s learning goals.
- Lynx for a Day (Optional) - Is a half-day event designed to provide prospective students with an opportunity to explore and learn more about the school and program. You will interact with faculty, staff, and current students, attend classes and presentations, student life, and experience learning at Lynnhaven.
- Cognitive & Achievement Testing (Required) - Lynnhaven uses the WISC-V and the WRAT5 to round out our holistic understanding of your student during the application process and will need current (within 2 years) assessment on record. We have worked out a special rate for Lynnhaven applicants with Heron Education.
- Application (Required) - Our application is designed to capture all of the information we'll need to make a decision. You can complete this step as soon as you are ready! Here are the things you’ll need to finish your application:
- Student created personal video for application. (2 min)
- Unofficial records of current and past grades, credit and testing from at least the last two years.
- Recommender Phone Call
- Please select an individual of your choosing to complete a phone call with our Dean of Enrollment & Innovation. Phone calls can be scheduled through our scheduling app linked below. This phone call should only take 5-10 minutes and you can select anyone that can speak to who you are as a student and person. A suggested list may include: Church congregation member, Community Organization Leader, Neighbor, School Counselor, or Teacher. You should not ask a family member or school aged friend to complete this phone call on your behalf.
- Tuition Assistance Application (Optional) - Must be completed at the same time as the admissions application in order to be considered.
Receive Your Admissions Decision
Admissions decisions will be communicated at the end of our regular admissions window. We do admit and enroll students on a rolling basis, throughout the school year as space permits. No decision will be made until ALL application materials are received and processed with the admissions office.
2024-2025 School Year Admissions Important Dates
Applicants interested in priority admission for the 2024-2025 school year should submit their application by November 15, 2023. Priority admission decisions will be rendered on December 1, 2023.

Enrollment Process
- Families will receive a formal letter of acceptance via e-mail.
- The letter will outline the steps needed to commit and reserve the students space for the next year.
- At the time of signing the tuition agreement families will be prompted to pay the $1000 registration fee along with half of your tuition insurance fee. All remaining payments will begin in March prior to the school year, unless otherwise outlined.
