Welcome to Year One

High School can often feel intimidating. Throughout 8th grade, you were working hard to apply to schools and programs and find the perfect fit. Now you have, and you are HERE. Lynnhaven does school differently and that begins in Year One. With a blend of challenge, balance, and support, a first year student will get time to transition into the new demands that high school brings. 

The Schedule

A Lynnhaven schedule is strategically designed to resemble a college schedule.  Students take four core courses, four days per week. Fridays are reserved for community service, joyful experiences, studying, and rest.  This provides students with ample time to prepare while also providing a unique focus on student wellness and workload balance. We want the rigor of a Lynnhaven education to be focused on complexity of thought not the mountain of tasks that increase stress, decrease joy, and create a learning environment that is not conducive for deep learning.
