Freshman SeminarList Item 1
Freshman Seminar is designed to support students in their transition to high school, equipping them with essential academic, social, and digital skills. Through a combination of structured Study Hall, weekly Socratic Seminars, and focused skill-building units, students will explore topics such as time management, typing, digital literacy, and research fundamentals. They will also begin early career exploration and prepare for the PSAT 9. The course emphasizes personal reflection, collaboration, and curiosity, helping students establish a strong foundation for their future academic and personal growth.

Sophomore SeminarList Item 2
Sophomore Seminar builds on the foundations of Freshman Seminar, focusing on deeper self-awareness, academic development, and career exploration. Students enhance their study habits, prepare for the PSAT 10, and create essential documents such as resumes. Financial literacy, public speaking, and college awareness are introduced. A key highlight of the year is Sophomore Day in March, when students participate in a job shadowing experience to gain firsthand insight into a career of interest. Regular Study Hall time and Socratic discussions continue to reinforce critical thinking and accountability.

AP SeminarList Item 3
AP Seminar is a foundational course in the AP Capstone program that encourages students to investigate real-world issues through multiple perspectives. Students learn to analyze and evaluate sources, develop evidence-based arguments, and present their ideas through written essays and multimedia presentations. Collaboration and inquiry are central to the course, preparing students for college-level thinking and research. AP Seminar lays the groundwork for success in future AP and dual enrollment coursework.

Junior SeminarList Item 4
Junior Seminar is a vital course that focuses on leadership development, SAT/ACT preparation, and postsecondary planning. Students will investigate their strengths, enhance communication skills, and start compiling their college list. The second semester is devoted to test preparation and initial work on college application materials, including personal statements and strategies for recommendations. In March, students participate in Experiential Learning Week, which comprises job shadowing, internships, or other field-based learning experiences that align with their interests. Study Hall is incorporated to offer structured academic support and planning time.

Senior Seminar
Senior Seminar guides students through the final stages of the college application process while preparing them for life beyond high school. In the fall, students focus on completing applications, refining essays, and managing deadlines. The winter term emphasizes financial aid, scholarships, and real-world readiness skills such as budgeting and decision-making. The spring term features guest speakers, alumni panels, and preparation for college transitions. With embedded Study Hall time, this course ensures students have the space and support they need to finish strong and step confidently into their next chapter.
